"Yoko Ono: Music of the mind" in Berlin's Gropiusbau Yoko Ono was ahead of her time – and her artistic work has had a decisive influence on art, music, and political activism since the 1950s. With the major solo exhibition "Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind," the Gropius Bau honors the artist's groundbreaking work. On the first floor and atrium of the Gropius Bau, the exhibition brings together more than 200 works from seven decades and illuminates Ono's radical approach to language, art, and participation, which continues to have an impact today. Installations, performances, films, music and photographs "Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind" spans the spectrum from Ono's so-called instructions – written instructions that invite viewers to imagine, experience, create, or complete a work – through installations and performances to films, music, and photographs.
